WHAT IS JUTE?

Jute is a natural fiber of plant origin, which can be spun into thick and durable threads. It is the cheapest material on the market, and is immediately after the cotton per quantity produced and per variety of use.

Jute fibres consist mainly of vegetable materials derived form cellulose and lignin. Jute is part of raphia fibers as well as kenaf, hemp, flax and ramie.
